Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice, and grated Parmesan. Mix well until smooth.
Add the cooked pasta to the bowl and toss with the ricotta mixture, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach your desired consistency.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve warm.
