Ingredients

For the Strawberry Layer

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

For the Matcha Layer

  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup milk or dairy-free alternative

For the Boba Pearls

  • 1/2 cup tapioca pearls, cooked
  • 1 tbsp honey or sweetener of choice

Instructions

For the Strawberry Layer

  1. In a small saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, and water.
  2. Simmer over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until strawberries soften.
  3. Blend until smooth and let cool.

For the Matcha Layer

  1. Dissolve matcha powder in hot water, stirring well.
  2. Let cool, then mix with milk.

Assemble

  1. Add cooked boba to the bottom of a glass.
  2. Pour in strawberry layer, followed by ice, then matcha layer.
  3. Serve immediately, stirring before drinking.
