Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 1 cup paneer, crumbled
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden.
  3. Add tomatoes and cook until softened. Stir in crumbled paneer, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes and let it cool.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into squares or rectangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the paneer mixture on each square, fold into a triangle or rectangle, and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Apply an egg wash for a golden crust, if desired.
  7. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or air fry for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or chutney.
