Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl
combine the chocolate cake mix
1 egg
and melted butter. Mix until a thick dough forms. Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.
In a separate bowl
beat the cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Add the powdered sugar
vanilla extract
and the remaining 2 eggs. Mix until well combined.
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the chocolate base in the baking dish. Spread evenly with a spatula.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top for extra gooeyness.
Bake for 40-45 minutes
or until the edges are set but the center is slightly gooey.
Allow the cake to cool completely before cutting into squares. Serve and enjoy!
