Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup mixed frozen vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp gluten-free Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef or lamb over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and frozen vegetables. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Spread the beef mixture evenly into a baking dish.
  6. Top with mashed potatoes, spreading them evenly to cover the meat mixture. Use a fork to create a decorative pattern on top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
