Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
