Ingredients

For the Schnitzel

  • 4 boneless pork chops, pounded thin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil for frying

For the Fondue Sauce

  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Emmental cheese
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

For the Schnitzel

  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge each chop in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry schnitzels until golden brown on both sides. Set aside.

For the Fondue Sauce

  1. In a saucepan, combine cheeses, wine, garlic, and cornstarch.
  2. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

To Serve

  1. Place the schnitzels on plates and pour the fondue sauce over them.
  2. Serve immediately with a side of fresh salad or roasted potatoes.
